Minster Lovell Hall
Minster Lovell,
Near Witney,
Oxfordshire

Located a few miles to the west of Oxford, on the banks of the River Windrush, Minster Lovell Hall is a romantic 15th Century ruin. It was built in 1435 on the site of an older building, by the Seventh Lord Lovell. However, after siding with the Crown in the Civil War, Francis Lovell lost the house, and it was later dismantled. There are several theories as to why it was created, but no definitive answer; this merely adds to the mystery and intrigue of the figure.
