The Park Inn Bedford is ideally located on the banks of the River Great Ouse, in the heart of Bedford city centre. Until recently, the hotel was known as the Bedford Moat House, but was one of nine Moat House sites whose management was taken over by the Rezidor group’s Park Inn brand in late 2005, as well as Cardiff, Northampton , Telford, Watford , West Bromwich, Harlow and Basildon , kick-starting the growth of the Park Inn name in the UK.
Aside from the change in name, the Park Inn Bedford continues to provide the amenities previously afforded by the hotel under the Moat House brand, offering friendly service and all the comforts a visitor would expect from a popular city centre hotel, while retaining the Moat House’s three star accredited budget accommodation. During its previous incarnation as the Bedford Moat House, the hotel enjoyed a reputation as a popular city centre base, with 120 comfortable and spacious en suite rooms from which to explore the city. Bedford city centre lies on the doorstep of the hotel, and there are a number of famous tourist attractions nearby, including Woburn Abbey, Althorp House and Whipsnade Wild Animal Park.
The hotel’s relaxing Pilgrim Bar and well-appointed Terrace Brasserie, with its views overlooking the river, are still very much a part of the Park Inn hotel. Other in-house facilities include The Body Club fitness centre and Massage and Sauna services, plus Bedfordshire Golf Club is less than 2 miles away. For business travellers the Park Inn Bedford also contains 8 meeting rooms which can accommodate up to 400 guests, along with fax/photocopying facilities and Wireless internet access.
