Park Inn Nottingham is the new name of what was until lately known as the Nottingham Moat House. The hotel is one of several Moat Houses, including Sheffield and Bedford recently acquired by Rezidor, Park Inn’s parent company. An established and well-liked hotel in Nottingham, the former Moat House is found just outside Nottingham , close to the M1, A1 and A60 roads.

The Park Inn Nottingham is currently being refurbished between November 2007 and March 2008 (the hotel will remain open during this time) to bring the hotel in line with Park Inn’s customary chic style. At the same time, it will retain all of the facilities provided by the popular former Moat House. The hotel will continue to provide comfortable and convenient 3 star accommodation, and a number of its 172 rooms are specifically adapted for family and business guests. Visitors will be able to enjoy a welcoming and enjoyable meal at the in-house restaurant, The Savoy, or appreciate a nightcap at the Savoy bar or the hotel’s Sports Bar. There is also an on-site complimentary fitness centre, the Innovation (formerly the Moativation) Health centre, which contains a fully-equipped gym and indoor heated swimming pool as well as a Jacuzzi, Solarium and a resident beautician, giving guests a range of fitness options. Full conferencing amenities are also available, including 11 business rooms and a conference café, while wireless internet service is available throughout the hotel.

The Park Inn Nottingham is very well situated for visitors to the East Midlands, whether you plan to enjoy the markets, high-street shopping, and the diverse nightlife Nottingham has to offer, or to explore further field. Aside from the obvious connections to Robin Hood, Nottingham has a broad offering of history, culture and entertainment: for a truly unique experience the Caves of Nottingham attraction provides an exceptional cross-section of all three. Just over a mile from the Park Inn Nottingham, this 750 year-old man-made cave system – now partly underneath Broadmarsh shopping centre – takes visitors on a tour of what has through the ages been a medieval tannery, brewery, Victorian slum and an air raid shelter. Even today part of the caves serves as the beer cellar for the Ye Old Trip to Jerusalem Inn, one of several pubs rumoured to be the oldest surviving tavern in the UK.
