Pembrokeshire, and in particular the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, is a remote and beautiful part of Wales; visitors to the region can, for a moment, forget about the fast pace of modern life and enjoy the region’s agreeably gentle pace. One of the advantages of this is that the hustle and bustle of the High Street is also left behind, but while Pembrokeshire may lack any large scale shopping developments as such, its collection of delightful little towns and cities dotted around the county still provide their own charming and unique range of retail outlets. Arts and crafts, and especially gift shops selling unique reminders of your time in this beautiful part of the world, abound. Being a county inextricably linked to the sea also means that many of Pembrokeshire’s historic fishing ports still offer vibrant fish markets, where fresh seafood can be bought virtually straight from the trawler. The county’s larger towns such as Haverfordwest, Milford Haven, Fishguard and Pembroke itself still provide a decent array of shops, with small branches of many familiar High Street shops lining their historic streets.
