The Radisson SAS Hotel is situated in the heart of historic Bristol, on Broad Quay, and is set to open early in 2007. It will become one of Bristol’s finest 4-star city centre hotels and, like the other Radisson hotels in Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Liverpool, it will offer a unique blend of style, comfort, convenience and elegance. There will be 176 rooms and suites at the Radisson SAS Bristol Hotel in a variety of cool, contemporary styles and with the type of modern facilities required by today’s discerning hotel guest. Like other Radisson hotels, the Radisson SAS Bristol Hotel looks set to offer a choice of stylish dining venues, with a contemporary restaurant, chic lounge bar and a laid back coffee bar. There will also be a great deal to interest the business customer, with Radisson’s usual high standards of conferencing and events facilities. Details are unclear at this stage, but it is envisaged that there will be 15 state of the art conference rooms with the very latest technology and equipment to make your event one to remember. Leisure facilities will also be on site; it is likely that a fully equipped gymnasium, sauna and steam room will be available for guests to use.
Bristol is one of England’s most historic cities, and its heritage as a major port and railway town is celebrated today, with many of Isambard Kingdom Brunel’s superb examples of Victorian architecture still beautifully preserved. Of course, the city has had its share of hard times in the past, but the redevelopment of Bristol’s city centre and historic waterfront have lent the city a cool, cosmopolitan edge. Bristol is the commercial and cultural capital of the West Country, and its museums, art galleries and historic attractions are some of the best loved in England. Bristol also offers excellent shopping facilities; and its array of cafes, restaurants, bars, pubs and nightclubs make the city come alive at night. With easy access by road, rail and air, Bristol has established itself as one of the UK’s favourite destinations for city breaks, and the Radisson SAS Bristol Hotel looks set to add its own unique personality to this vibrant city.
