Welcome to the e-travelguide feature on the Shakespeare Houses in Stratford-upon-Avon. These five properties are owned and cared for by the Shakespeare Birthplace Trust and are situated in and near the historic Warwickshire town of Stratford-upon-Avon. Three of the properties are in town - Shakespeare's Birthplace, Nash's House & New Place and Hall's Croft, while Anne Hathaway's Cottage and Mary Arden's House and the Countryside Museum are located in the outlying countryside.
All five houses are connected to William Shakespeare or his immediate family and offer an authentic experience of the Stratford-upon-Avon world of the famous dramatist. Each house has its own fascinating story to tell and the guides offer a unique insight into many aspects of the life, work and times of William Shakespeare.
