South Yorkshire has excellent shopping facilities, with most of its towns providing a good array of shops. Doncaster, Barnsley and Rotherham in particular have enjoyed investment and improvements to their respective town centres, and now make pleasant and relaxing places to shop. Sheffield, South Yorkshire’s only city, has the county’s most comprehensive shopping facilities; both the city centre and the giant Meadowhall Shopping Centre boast a diverse range of shops, from the major brands to more specialist outlets, and there is also no shortage of restaurants and cafes to revive tired shoppers.


In addition to South Yorkshire’s own facilities, the shopping havens that are Manchester and Leeds are also within easy reach.
