Guild Court occupies a unique position, not only does it overlook the Birthplace but is situated on a line that passes through Shakespeare's Birthplace, New Place where he lived and Holy Trinity where he rests.
The land on which Guild Court stands is thought at one time to be part of a parcel of land owned by Shakespeare himself. It is in an area known in times past as Guild Pits and was used as a rubbish tip for the town. What is under this plot of the Bards can only be imagined!

The building was constructed in the early part of the 19th century and at one time was used as a school for sewing. In the living memory of some Stratfordians they can recall the property being the home to gentlewomen.
Guild Court is in the very centre of Stratford-upon-Avon convenient far the many restaurants, bars, cinema and of course the world renowned theatres
