The picturesque county of Suffolk is well known for its gentle scenery and its secluded coastline, but it also provides a good selection of shopping opportunities for visitors. Naturally, the greatest selection of High Street shops can be found in the county’s largest city, Ipswich; here you will find all of the familiar brands expected of a medium-sized city. Bury St. Edmunds and Newmarket also have their fair share of shops, and the county is rich in historic market towns and villages, many of which still offer frequent farmers’ markets where fresh local produce can be bought.
