Tigh Na Sgiath is a magnificent former country house and shooting lodge retaining many original features, set in 2.5 acres of mature wooded grounds, makes the perfect Highland holiday retreat. Nature flows from the nearby hills and woods to our doorstep and includes our own resident family of the endangered red squirrel.

There are views of the Cairngorm Mountains and Cromdale Hills from the front of the hotel, where breathtaking sunsets and the ever changing vista of the day make it an almost spiritual experience to sit, view and relax in the tranquillity that is Speyside.

For those of you with more energetic intent the hills, glens and woods beckon, whether it be a for a stroll by the river Dulnain through Curr Wood, or a hike though the wonders of the natural woodlands, moors and mountains or by the rivers and lochs that abound within a 20 mile radius.

Back to the hotel for a relaxing drink before dinner, a fine meal by candle light and a dram by one of our log fire. Then to bed in the comfort of our well appointed rooms, waking in the morning refreshed and restored for an other day exploring the towns and villages, castles and malt whisky distilleries, for a trip on the Funicular to the top of Cairngorm or a ride on the steam railway.
