The three Torbay towns of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham offer a good selection of shops, and as the largest conurbation in this part of South Devon, the towns are the main shopping centres for the region. Of the three towns, Torquay is the largest, and naturally has the most to offer in terms of High Street shopping. Torquay has all of the major brands one would expect of a large town, and also has indoor shopping centres in the shape of Fleet Walk with its chic designer boutiques, and the large Union Square Shopping Centre. It also offers several out of town shopping centres and retail parks. Paignton also offers a good choice of familiar High Street shops, supplemented by smaller boutiques and specialist retailers selling a remarkably diverse array of unusual products, gifts and curiosities. Brixham, being the smallest of the Torbay towns, is not as well furnished with the bigger national chain shops, but it more than makes up for this with its delightful assortment of smaller outlets and shops. Brixham is also a great place for buying fresh produce, particularly fish and seafood from the town’s historic fish market.
