From the North (A1)
Turn off the A1 and onto the A695 towards the City Centre. Follow the A695 along the Scotswood Road and into one-way system in the City Centre. Turn right onto Westgate Road and then bear left onto Collingwood Street. At the Traffic Lights, filter right, go past the Cathedral, and immediately after the Castle Keep, turn left into Castle Garth. The Vermont Hotel will then be directly in front of you.

From the South (A1)
Turn off the A1 and onto the A184, signposted towards Gateshead Town Centre. Keep following the signs towards Gateshead Town Centre and then turn onto the A189 and cross the river on The Redheugh Bridge. Follow the A189 up St. James’ Boulevard and keep in the right hand lane. At the traffic lights, turn right onto Westgate Road and then bear left onto Collingwood Street. At the traffic lights, filter right and pass the Cathedral. Immediately after the Castle Keep, turn left into Castle Garth. The Vermont Hotel will then be directly in front of you.
