The Wotton House Hotel, Surrey

Wotton House is a grand country hotel set on the outskirts of Dorking in Surrey. It is certainly a picturesque location and its 20 acres of land are part of the wider Wotton Estate which takes up around 300 acres in total. This fact makes it ideal for wedding celebrations, particularly due to the impressive setting for wedding photos and the fantastic service that is brought by the Hotel’s staff. The house was formerly the home of diarist John Evelyn, while these days it has been revamped and freshened up, of course without diminishing anything of its former glory. Dorking is well within reach of the M25 motorway while the nearest train station is at Dorking which is only four miles from the Hotel. There are many things to do in the nearby area, for example: there are the Thorpe Park and Chessington theme parks, the Epsom and Ascot race courses, the Denbies Vineyard and Wisley Gardens. In addition, Principal Hayley incorporates a number of other beautiful venues – Selsdon Park and the Royal York are just two of them.

Adding to the luxurious and grand feel of this venue the facilities and amenities are also fittingly luxurious and spacious. There are 111 guest bedrooms at the Hotel with a number of different amenities available in the rooms. There are also some rooms specifically designed with disabled users in mind. Using fresh local ingredients where possible and endeavouring to create healthy meals, the Hotel offers a range of top cuisines which are complemented by a wide selection of wines. Wotton House has typically extensive meeting and event rooms which can be used for a number of different occasions such as wedding celebrations, boardroom meetings and banquets. There are 40 facilities in total which can accommodate for a maximum of 200 delegates if necessary. By rail: Dorking train station is approximately four miles from the Hotel.

By air: London Gatwick and London Heathrow are not too far from the Wotton House.

By car: From the M25 - Leave the M25 at junction 9 and take the exit signposted A243/A24 Dorking. Follow the A24 to Dorking, and take the right filter at the traffic lights (signposted A25 Gulidford). At the mini-roundabout turn left, follow the road to the end and turn right towards Guildford onto the A25. Continue along the A25, through the village of Westcott and travel into Wotton, past The Wotton Hatch Pub and turn immediately left. It is approximately 10 miles and 20 minutes from the M25.
